Vintage Charm: Love and Laughter

Happy Wednesday, paper lovers! Jana Eubank here. I had so much fun creating my page for the "Love and Laughter" design challenge this week. I pulled some silly photos of my husband and I to document how much I love this man and how lucky I feel to be on life's journey with him.

LOVE AND LAUGHTER

I loved the dotted pattern overlayed on top of the circles in the Circle Pattern paper ... It reminded me of stitching and so I decided to include stitching on my page.

The butterflies and phrase stickers from the Vintage Charm kit have gotten a lot of mileage on my pages this month. They make the perfect accents!

I even included one in my flower cluster at the lower left corner of my photos.

(And just an FYI, those are NOT my husband's sunglasses ... they are actually mine. Ha! He loves to take silly selfies and send them to me when he is driving my car. *giggle* ... My kids call these sunglasses my "sweet sunnies" from the 80s. Hey, that's alright! ... They are my favorite color and I think they are RAD. :D )

I used an ampersand from the kit as part of my title. The words "love" and "laughter" are from a cut file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.

Below the title, I created a cluster of pennant shapes in lots of different sizes. Some of them are stickers, some of them are tags, and some of them are created from the 6x6 papers from the Vintage Charm Daily Diary Kit. I even created one from the yellow cardstock, embossing it with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Here's a loser look at my journaling.

And a final angled view of the page so you can see a bit of the dimension.

I've loved working with the Vintage Charm kits this month! And now I'm ready to dig into the Buttons & Bows kits ... I'll be back next week to show you my first project for September.

See you then!

Love and Laughter Vintage Charm Daily Diary Project Life Page

Hello Everyone, Lynn here with my latest project life page using this month's Vintage Charm Daily Diary Kit. The DT challenge this week is called "Love and Laughter". The challenge is to use "Love and Laughter" as a title for your project. Instead of a title I incorporated the phrase into my journaling on one of my project life cards. I used pics of my new puppy because she makes me laugh every day and she is so loved! I used Simple Stories "Bloom and Grow" cards and stickers for my page - love the Bloom and Grow collection!! Here's my page.
I love the woodgrain and bright colors in this collection by Simple Stories. Here's close ups of the cards starting with my title card. I used the coordinating Bloom and Grow Alpha and Sticker sheet to decorate my title card.
I popped up a die cut shape on the next card. How stinkin cute are the gnomes that are part of the collection?!
Here's the next few cards. The ampersand is on the outside of the pocket without a background.
Here's my journal card where I added the "Love and Laughter" phrase from this week's challenge. I outlined the phrase to make it stand out a bit more.
This card has one of my favorite recent pics of Lola. She is just too cute!!
The last card includes more adorable gnomes. I added a kite die cut to one of the gnomes.
I have loved this collection for my last few project life pages. I hope I've inspired you with ideas for your PL pages.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week. I'll be back next week with a layout using our new September Classic kit.

Dying Easter Eggs Layout with the "Vintage Charm" Classic Kit

Hello kit club fans!  It's Meridy here with another double page layout for you.  This time I pulled out some springtime photographs of my kids dying Easter eggs in 2015.  I am using the "Vintage Charm" Classic Kit for this layout.  There are 2 more of these kits in the store, so hurry over to get one!

I started this layout by loosely placing the photographs where I wanted them on the page.  Next I added the strips of patterned paper across the top 1/3 of each page.   After that, I decided to matt each photo so it would "pop" better against the white background paper.

After adding strips of various patterned papers and stickers, I decided the top portion of the page needed a little more visual weight, so I added the gold scalloped sticker. I had fun with the stickers and color shine on this layout!

The right side of the layout is similar to the left side, the photos are the star of the show today!!!
.

I had fun creating sticker clusters and subtitles across both pages with the Heidi Swapp Glitter Alphabet stickers that came in this month's kit. I added a little journaling, and the layout was complete!!!

Thank you for looking!  See you next week with layout made from the September "Buttons & Bows" kit.

Love & Laughter | Vintage Charm Classic Kit

Good Morning Noel Mignon friends!  Wendy here today to share a new challenge and some inspiration using the Vintage Charm Classic Kit (there are still 2 left).  Your challenge this week is to use the title "Love and Laughter" on your project.

I knew I wanted to use these pictures to talk about the love my boy has for his Pilchard doll (from Bob the Builder) and the laughter they share together, but with his hat I was also drawn to the bold Boys Rule cut file I had laying on my table from the Cut Shoppe.  So I combined the soft and sweet (flowers, pinks, ball of yarn), with the bold masculine (navy blue, title, striped frames) to create a layout filled with tension and excitement!

I've just about killed my kit now, what about you?  Have you order your Button & Bow kit yet?
Until next week, be blessed!

Family Time | Vintage Charm Classic Kit

Hello! It's Laura here today sharing a layout using the Vintage Charm Classic Kit, if you recall the design team is showcasing projects that document Family Time.

In my house family time is not usually any one type of activity, it can vary depending on the day of the week, the weather, the season, and even which of my boys is home for the weekend.  Favourite activities include games, movies, boating, kayaking, hot tubbing and the list goes on.

I began my layout with the intent to add as many photos onto my page as possible, doing the things we do when we are together.  I remembered that I had created a View-master type cut file a while back and considered using that for this page.  However, I really wanted to embrace the "time" aspect of the challenge as well, so I created a new clock cut file with the numbers 3, 6, 9 and 12 welded into four of the spaces, leaving 8 spaces open for photos.

I layered my clock onto a pretty Maggie Holmes patterned paper from the kit.

I wanted to create a tone on tone title, using the same cardstock that I used for my clock as well as the pretty Heidi Swapp alphas worked just perfectly for this!

These pretty glittered dot embellishments from Queen and Co. were sort of a blueish teal and white stripe until I coloured them with a Copic marker to coordinate better with my layout colours.

I opted for black and white photos to avoid a really busy page.

The wood words from Jillibean Soup are so perfect to adorn my little snapshots, I added a few other embellishments to my tiny trio of embellishment clusters.

I backed each of my clock numbers with a different patterned paper, and used a combination of of fussy cut flowers and flower stickers for my large embellishment area in the centre of my clock face.

I loved that this layout helped me to scrapbook photos that may not have otherwise made it onto a page.

I created a process video for this layout, you can watch it below or hop on over to my You-Tube channel.

Supply List: 'Blissful' patterned paper from Maggie Holmes Bloom collection; 'Moments', 'neighborhood' and 'family ties'  patterned paper from We R Memory Keepers Honey I'm Home collection; Pretty Little Studios cut apart garland flags; American Crafts Cardstock in 'Robin's Egg' and 'Cricket'; We R Memory Keepers Honey I'm Home collection die cuts and stickers; Queen & Co. blue glitter striped dots; Jillibean Soup wood words; Heidi Swapp Alpha Stickers. (from my stash: Staedtler fine tip felt pen, Copic BG13).

Thanks so much for visiting today!

family time in newport

Hey all, Michelle here! I pulled out my Summer Lovin' Daily Diary kit to document a trip to Newport, OR that my family and I took last month. We were there for about a week and I took lots of photos so the bulk of those are actually going to go in a mini album. But I didn't want to just skip over this trip in my family scrapbook so I picked out some of my favorites to document in some pocket pages!
The Summer Lovin' kits have bright, fun colors which are perfect for any summer project!
Smores on the beach is pretty much awesome!!

On most of my photos I simply added a little tag or sticker, most attached with my tiny attacher for simplicity.
I didn't quite have enough photos to need 2 full spreads (front and back) so I took a second pocket page and cut it down with my paper trimmer.
In the top 4x6 slot I used a 3x4 photo and 3x4 card and taped them together on the back.
If you have lots of summer photos that still need to be scrapbooked there still a couple Summer Lovin' Daily Diary kits left (classic kit is sold out). I will also be using this kit to finish up my Summer Mini...only 1 week of summer vacation left!!!

Documenting Week 32 with Vintage Charm

Happy Thursday! Danielle here today, to share with you my Week 32 of my Project Life, using the Vintage Charm Daily Diary Kit!

This weeks Design Team Challenge - Family Time - Create a project showcasing your favourite ways you spend time with your family.
I chose to add more photos of our annual fishing vacation in northern Ontario for the challenge. This is our favourite place to go as a family and we all have so much fun together.
The Simple Stories Bloom & Grow Alpha sticker sheet with the tiny word stickers were perfect for adding little titles to some of the photos.
 Here are some close up's
This "Little Moments" flair from Pretty Little Studio was the perfect little touch for this weeks challenge.
What's your favourite way to spend time as a family?

Vintage Charm Daily Diary Kit: Family Time

This week on the Noel Mignon blog we are sharing pages about our favorite ways to spend time with our family.
Hi Everyone! Jana Eubank here. I love summer time with my family! I love the relaxed schedule and all of the different activities we do together. This particular pocket page spread includes a lot of those summer traditions ... like parades, picnics, concerts, and backyard croquet. These are just some of the things we like to do together!
FAMILY TIME

I worked with the Simple Stories Bloom & Grow elements from the Vintage Charm Daily Diary Kit on this layout. I've mentioned it before, but I just love the primary colors mixed together with the warmth of the woodgrain.

PAGE 1

I pulled in the kraft Prima flowers from the Vintage Charm Classic Kit to use her to continue the neutral brown colors.

I love using the letter stickers, die cuts, and epoxy brads to decorate each of the journal cards!

Aren't those little wood veneer words by Jillibean Soup the cutest! I love how they look stacked together on that rain cloud card!

How do you like to spend time with YOUR family in the summer? Have you documented those memories?
